La Herrera Settlement Dataset |
This dataset serves as a complement to the article Reconocimientos Arqueológicos de la Laguna de "La Herrera" by Silvia M. Broadbent (download complete article [7 MB]). It provides data on the location types of ceramic materials recovered within a 56 Km² survey of the Laguna La Herrera region, Sabana de Bogota, Colombia in 1968 and 1969. The article provides full details on survey methodology, site locations, and ceramic types.

Maps are provided as AutoCAD (Release 12) .DXF files which can be read by many CAD and GIS programs. The drawing units of all DXF files are meters and the coordinate system is WGS84-based UTM in Zone 18 N.

Numeric data are provided in two file formats. Comma-delimited text files should be easy to import into spreadsheet, database, and statistical programs for manipulation and analysis. Excel spreadsheets are easier to browse, and can also be imported into many programs. The numeric data files are as follows:
