Wankarani Settlement Dataset |
The data file WPNT.TXT contains data for projectile points found in systematic collections at Wankarani sites. Each line represents one or more projectile points with the same characteristics. There are 25 lines, each with 5 variables separated by commas. The variables are, in the following order:
| 1 | Site number |
| 2 | Collection unit number |
| 3 | Collection unit size (in square meters) |
| 4 | Raw material of which the point was made |
| 5 | Number of points |
The first line of the file, for example, looks like this:
LJ-B,1,10,basalt,1
This indicates that site LJ-B, collection unit 1 (a unit of 10 square meters) yielded one basalt projectile point.
The last (25th) line of the file is:
B-7,5,10,basalt,1
This indicates that site B-7, collection unit 5 (a unit of 10 square meters) yielded one basalt projectile point.
